Volunteering

The Parkinson’s UK Volunteering team

The Volunteering team are a small team based in London and include a Head of Volunteering, a Volunteer Programme Manager, two Volunteer Programme Coordinators and a Learning and Development Manager. They are the central point of contact for all internal and external queries relating to volunteers such as volunteer recruitment and learning and development. The team doesn’t directly support Parkinson’s UK’s 3000 volunteers but ensures we have the right volunteering processes, policies and guidance in place to work towards our goal of bringing forward the day when no one fears Parkinson’s.

Volunteering Opportunities in the Group

We often have need of support and help with fundraising activities such Supermarket Collections, Car Boot Sales, Craft & Christmas Fairs and similar stalls at various functions.

If your are willing to volunteer some of your time to help us with such fundraising activities then please contact our Group Secretary Jane Henderson on 0344 225 3694 or email jhenderson@parkinsons.org.uk

We always welcome new volunteers to join the group. We would like to start some different types of exercise classes, more social events and respite care and we need new volunteers to set up and oversee these. Anyone coming forward would have the full support of the existing committee. If you are interested, please contact either Jane Henderson our secretary on 0344 225 3694 or jhenderson@parkinsons.org.uk or Gail Fallon our membership secretary on gfallon.parkinsons.swindon@gmail.com
